During my artist residency with Recology of King County (May-September 2026), I worked with sculpture, sound, and photography, exploring how to creatively counter the idea of progress as a constant future forward march and instead point toward alternate multi-directional paths and potential histories in the making. What happens when such potential histories, as represented by the objects we discard, are compressed, reversed, shattered, orprecariously stretched to their breaking point. What new forms take shape from such tension, what new growth can spring from this entropy, and what rhythms pulse through our debris.
